Red Hot Chili Peppers Announce New Album Unlimited Love, Share Video for New Song “Black Summer”: Watch
The band’s first new music since guitarist John Frusciante rejoined the lineup in 2019.

Red Hot Chili Peppers are back with their first new song since 2016. “Black Summer” also marks the band’s first song since guitarist John Frusciante rejoined the lineup in 2019. The track leads the band’s new album, Unlimited Love, which is produced by Rick Rubin and out April 1 via Warner. Watch the video for “Black Summer” below.

The new single arrives ahead of Red Hot Chili Peppers’ upcoming stadium tour. The group has shows lined up with support from A$AP Rocky, Thundercat, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Haim, Beck, the Strokes, King Princess, and St. Vincent. The trek is currently slated to begin in June and continue through September.

“Our only goal is to get lost in the music,” the members of Red Hot Chili Peppers said of their forthcoming album in a press release. “We (John, Anthony, Chad, and Flea) spent thousands of hours, collectively and individually, honing our craft and showing up for one another, to make the best album we could. Our antennae attuned to the divine cosmos, we were just so damn grateful for the opportunity to be in a room together, and, once again, try to get better. Days, weeks and months spent listening to each other, composing, jamming freely, and arranging the fruit of those jams with great care and purpose. Frusciante added: “When we got together to start writing material, we began by playing old songs by people like Johnny ‘Guitar’ Watson, the Kinks, the New York Dolls, Richard Barrett, and others. Ever so gradually, we started bringing in new ideas, and turning jams into songs, and after a couple of months the new stuff was all we were playing. The feeling of effortless fun we had when we were playing songs by other people, stayed with us the whole time we were writing. For me, this record represents our love for, and faith in each other.”

Red Hot Chili Peppers’ previous album, The Getaway, was released in 2016. The record, produced by Danger Mouse, marked their last with Josh Klinghoffer, who began playing with Red Hot Chili Peppers in 2007. Shortly after his departure, Klinghoffer said it was a “complete shock but not a surprise” that he was out of the group. He added, however, that he felt a “great wave of love for [his former bandmates], and love for everything [he] was able to do with them.”

Frusciante’s return to Red Hot Chili Peppers was announced in December 2019. A couple of months later, he joined Anthony Kiedis and Flea on stage for a brief set at a memorial concert.

John Frusciante joined Red Hot Chili Peppers in 1988 after the death of the band’s founding guitarist Hillel Slovak. He played with the group for 1989’s Mother’s Milk and 1991’s Blood Sugar Sex Magik before departing for the first time in 1992. Prior to his return to the band in 1998, Frusciante released the solo albums Niandra Lades and Usually Just a T-Shirt (1994) and Smile From the Streets You Hold (1997). Once back in the fold, Frusciante performed on Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Californication (1999), By the Way (2002), and Stadium Arcadium (2006) before, once again, departing in 2009.

The mutiple Grammy-winning superstar Michael Bublé will release ‘HIGHER’, his eleventh studio album, on March 25th via Warner Records / Reprise Records. Produced by Greg Wells and Bob Rock along with Allen Chang, Jason ‘Spicy G’ Goldman and Sir Paul McCartney, ‘HIGHER’ is Michael’s first studio album in three years. It follows his hugely successful sold-out two-year An Evening With Michael Bublé tour as well as the 10th anniversary of the release of his hugely successful ‘Christmas’ album.

Standouts on the new album include a magical duet with Willie Nelson on his song ‘Crazy’, Michael’s heartfelt version of the Sir Paul McCartney-penned and produced song ‘My Valentine’, and the Bob Dylan classic ‘Make You Feel My Love’. It also includes three originals written by Michael Bublé, notably the new single ‘I’ll Never Not Love You’. Other highlights are his take on the Sam Cooke classic ‘Bring It On Home To Me’, ‘You’re The First, The Last, My Everything’, and the joyous ‘A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square’. The album closes with a dramatic and breath-taking version of ‘Smile’ accompanied by a gospel choir.

Michael says, “This time out, I opened myself up completely to trying new things. I dug deeper while working and surrounding myself with the greatest music makers on the planet with gigantic imaginations. Whether it was sitting down to write with Ryan Tedder and Greg Wells, recording three songs in one day with my pal Bob Rock along with 40 of the most amazing musicians off the studio floor who hadn’t played music in 15 months, dancing around laughing and crying in my underwear in my home studio when a song sounded just right, every moment felt magical or that the universe was conspiring to bring me to this moment in time 20 years into this amazing ride I’ve been on. Today sees PinkPantheress release remix mixtape of the debut project To hell with it. PinkPantheress has also announced her debut US tour with stops in Oakland, LA, New York and Atlanta.

The mixtape follows on from PinkPantheress’ BBC Music Sound of 2022 win and includes remixes of fan-favourites ‘Pain’, ‘Passion’, ‘Just For Me’ and more. Speaking on the mixtape PinkPantheress says: “im extremely happy to have had all some of my favourite creatives work on this project. these remixes gets me up and dancing like there’s no tomorrow and i hope they have the same effect on everyone that tunes in”

Speaking on her involvement Anz says: “(Like probably everyone else in the world), I’m a little bit obsessed with PinkPantheress’ music and I had so much fun working with her and re-imagining the vocals in my own way. Listening to the lyrics, I wanted to make the track a tale of two halves – wistful and dreamy, but also a bit carefree and darkside. And of course, ready for the club! So excited to share this one with everyone.”

Whilst Sam Gelliatry (whose remix fans have been beginning for) states: “When i first heard passion i had an unshakable urge of wanting to play around with it and PP was kind enough to give me the keys. the original is beautiful as it stands of course, i just heard this version in my head with an alternative drum pattern and added a few chops, orchestral and vocal synths here and there. very happy to be able to share my version and was a pleasure making it!”

Griff and Sigrid have today released a brand new, collaborative single ‘Head On Fire’, which is available now alongside a striking new video.

‘Head On Fire’ is the sound of a big, pop-girl friendship that blossomed online during the pandemic, and is now taken IRL with an empowering new anthem. Having both navigated hotly-tipped status as teens, Griff and Sigrid perfectly represent the new wave of female artists focused instead on lifting each other up.

Describing how the pair first connected, Sigrid says: “Griff and I met sharing a pizza at the Rueben Selby show at Fashion Week in London, haha. We went to the studio a while later and just had a day of talking about life, before writing ‘Head On Fire’. It’s about that feeling when you meet someone who just flips everything upside down and you can’t focus on anything else but that person. Sarah’s just lovely, and it’s been so much fun working with her.” With Griff and Sigrid’s impassioned fans often speculating on a future duet between the two, Griff comments: “I’ve looked up to Sigrid so much, especially as a young girl who broke through making powerful, credible pop music. Griff has without a doubt been the breakthrough sound of 2021. Fresh off releasing the best punk album of 2021 with Glow On, Turnstile made their late night TV debut on Late Night with Seth Meyers last night (12/15). Not only was it a rare late night appearance by a punk band (for 2021’s standards), it was an even rarer appearance for a hardcore band, and Turnstile brought it, tearing up the Seth Meyers stage with a seamless back-to-back performance of “Mystery” and “T.L.C. (Turnstile Love Connection” (just like on the original Turnstile Love Connection EP). It was awesome to see, and you can watch it for yourself below.

The performance gave just a little taste of how great of a live band Turnstile are, and you can really experience it when they hit the road for a headlining tour in 2022.

Anne-Marie has dropped a brand-new video for her album track, ‘Beautiful’.

‘Beautiful’ features on Anne-Marie’s chartbusting second studio album ‘Therapy’ and was written by Max Martin, Ed Sheeran and Elvira Anderfjärd (who also produced the track). Today, the song is joined by a poignant video that follows the remarkable story of Dima – a Syrian-born woman who Anne-Marie got to know via her own involvement in refugee charity, Choose Love – the same charity that also connected Anne-Marie with up-and-coming film director, Hassan Akkad, who created the visual.

A vibrant, intelligent young woman, and avid runner, Dima tragically lost her leg after her family home, in Syria, was bombed in a war. After resettling in Bedfordshire, UK alongside her family – where she and her family now permanently reside – Dima began her long rehabilitation journey to get back running again; hers is a journey of courage and hope, and the profound video beautifully depicts Dima’s healing journey, weaving personal footage of her rehabilitation throughout.

Anne-Marie’s Silver-selling second studio album, Therapy, is out now. She will embark on her UK and Ireland ‘Dysfunctional Tour’ throughout May 2022.

Neil Young & Crazy Horse‘s new album BARN is out now on Reprise Records, their longtime home since the beginning. The band’s debut album EVERYBODY KNOWS THIS IS NOWHERE came out in May 1969.  Today, Crazy Horse features Ralph Molina on drums, Billy Talbot on electric bass and multi-instrumentalist Nils Lofgren. Lofgren, a founding member of the Horse, played on Tonight’s The Night, After The Gold Rush and Trans.

10 new songs that capture the raw, idiosyncratic rock and roll spirit and lyrical beauty that epitomizes a classic NYCH collaboration. Recorded this summer under a full moon, in a restored off-grid 19th century barn high up in the Rockies, the Horse was right at home and the album’s stunning love songs, reflective ballads and powerhouse rockers naturally burst into life.

The film of the same title – BARN captures this legendary band in their element – in the wild, their easy humour, their brotherhood, their humanity, and of course, the music, live, recorded in their unique spontaneous way.  A Blu-ray of the film directed by Daryl Hannah, will be available as a stand-alone release.

Gang of Youths today announce their biggest tour of the UK including London’s O2 Academy Brixton to launch their upcoming album ‘angel in realtime.’ which is out on February 25^th through Warner Records. The news comes as they prepare to support Sam Fender on his arena tour around the UK and play their own instantly sold-out club shows.

Gang of Youths say, “The album is about the life and legacy of Dave’s father, indigenous identity, death, grief and God. And also the Angel, Islington.”

Despite and indeed because of frontman Dave Le’aupepe’s father’s absence, his influence permeates every talking point that the album offers. At times it’s solely focused upon the precise, personal experiences of loss: the dichotomy of intensity and peace that comes as someone passes through their final days; the overwhelming feeling in the wake of their death that life will never be the same, even if the rest of the world at large remains utterly unchanged.

Following their recent singles, ‘the angel of 8th ave.’, telling of falling in love in a new city and making a home in another, and ‘the man himself’, a song created around a sample recording from the island of Mangaia in the Cook Islands that is about living without the guiding hand of your own father, today they release ‘tend the garden’.

Although the album is eclectic – influences range from American minimalism and contemporary classical, to drawing upon the legacy of Britain’s alternative/indie scenes, from drum ‘n’ bass to the most transcendent moments of Britpop — it’s equally rooted in Le’aupepe’s Samoan heritage, with the majority of tracks featuring samples from David Fanshawe’s recordings of indigenous music from the Polynesian islands and the wider South Pacific. ‘angel in realtime.’ also features contributions from a cast of talented Pasifika and Māori vocalists and instrumentalists.

Le’aupepe says, “I hope the record stands as a monument to the man my father was and remains long after I’m gone myself. He deserved it.”
