what started as a night became a morning under the southern sun became a citrus kiss became a crickets click became a cows howl behind the slaughterhouses door you spun the car keys took your shirt off chewed two apples to the core turning red turning west tipping the switchblade to roswell trucking through tucson my california called us in the distance i saw your shadow i held your cross i felt your heart i tasted your tongue in my teeth and it became the perfect carnage of my feelings for youRyan Beatty

American singer/songwriter Ryan Beatty announces his third full-length album Calico, arriving on 28th April via Atlantic Records UK/Elektra US. In celebration of his announcement, Ryan has released his new single, ‘Ribbons’ out now.

An excellent introduction to Ryan’s upcoming record, ‘Ribbons’ is a warm and delightful listen, showcasing his exquisite emotive vocals and a delicate piano melody. The lyric “It’s brave to be nothing to no one at all.” from the song is what Ryan refers to as the proverb of Calico.

Set for release on 28th April, Calico rings in a new era for Ryan Beatty. Co-produced by Ryan and Ethan Gruska, Calico matches Ryan’s lyrical revelations with a luminously detailed sound that inspires endless fascination despite its great subtlety. The result is a timeless and transportive body of work, providing abundant space for the transformation and healing that led to its creation.

Calico moves further into the free-form, yet gracefully sculpted sound Ryan explored on 2020’s Dreaming of David. In bringing the album to life, he and Gruska mainly recorded at historic L.A. spot Valentine Recording Studios and at Rick Rubin’s Shangri-La, working with a lineup of musicians including guitarist Dylan Day (Jenny Lewis, Laura Veirs), drummer Matt Chamberlain (Lorde, Brandi Carlile), saxophonist Sam Gendel (Sylvan Esso, Perfume Genius), string arranger Rob Moose (FKA twigs, Laura Marling), and Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, who contributed additional production and instrumentation.

Ryan also collaborated with revered Belgian artist Peter De Potter to bring the visuals around the upcoming album to life. Peter’s unique method of blending his photography and video with graphics resonates in art, fashion and contemporary online culture. The addition of the Antwerp-based creative’s work on Ryan’s upcoming album compliments the poetic atmosphere he’s created for Calico.

An elegant body of work, Calico is the superb outcome of two devoted years of exploration, writing and recording. Sharing the endless nuances of his interior life on his upcoming album, Ryan quietly explores the tension between protecting our hearts and longing for the type of connection that can only come from true vulnerability.

ED SHEERAN ANNOUNCES HIS SOUL-BEARING NEW ALBUM

ED SHEERAN ANNOUNCES HIS SOUL-BEARING NEW ALBUM

(SUBTRACT)

RELEASE DATE: 5th MAY 2023

PRE-ORDER LINK

’ IS THE LAST IN THE ERA-DEFINING MATHEMATICS SERIES

Ed has this morning announced ‘-‘ (Subtract) – the last in his decade-spanning mathematical album era.

The album – which goes back to his singer-songwriter roots to reveal his most personal, vulnerable, and honest album to date – will be released 5th May 2023.

Ed announced the album with a deeply personal message. In his own words –

“I had been working on Subtract for a decade, trying to sculpt the perfect acoustic album, writing and recording hundreds of songs with a clear vision of what I thought it should be. Then at the start of 2022, a series of events changed my life, my mental health, and ultimately the way I viewed music and art.

Writing songs is my therapy. It helps me make sense of my feelings. I wrote without thought of what the songs would be, I just wrote whatever tumbled out. And in just over a week, I replaced a decade’s worth of work with my deepest darkest thoughts.

Within the space of a month, my pregnant wife got told she had a tumour, with no route to treatment until after the birth. My best friend Jamal, a brother to me, died suddenly and I found myself standing in court defending my integrity and career as a songwriter. I was spiralling through fear, depression and anxiety.

I felt like I was drowning, head below the surface, looking up but not being able to break through for air.

As an artist I didn’t feel like I could credibly put a body of work into the world that didn’t accurately represent where I am and how I need to express myself at this point in my life. This album is purely that. It’s opening the trapdoor into my soul. For the first time I’m not trying to craft an album people will like, I’m merely putting something out that’s honest and true to where I am in my adult life.

This is last February’s diary entry and my way of making sense of it. This is Subtract.”

Ed has teamed up with Aaron Dessner (The National) to write and produce the album – after the pair were introduced by mutual friend Taylor Swift.

Writing over 30 songs during their month-long studio stint, the album’s fourteen tracks are seamlessly tied together by exquisite production from paired back, folk-leaning textures to bolder, full-band/orchestral arrangements.

The campaign photography has been shot by world-renowned photographer, Annie Leibovitz. See the first two images released today below, with more to come throughout the campaign.

Fall Out Boy Announces New Album and New Single!

Fall Out Boy Announces New Album

So Much (For) Stardust

Arriving March 24, 2023

New Single “Love From The Other Side” Available Now

Band To Perform “Love From The Other Side” Tonight on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

So Much (For) Stardust Available For Pre-Order Now

Today, GRAMMY Award-nominated and multi-platinum selling rock band Fall Out Boy announced that their eighth studio album So Much (For) Stardust will arrive March 24, 2023 and provided the first glimpse of the new music with the release of the record’s first single “Love From The Other Side.” Listen to “Love From The Other Side” here and pre-order So Much (For) Stardust here. In tandem with the song’s release, the band also unveiled the music video – directed by David Braun and Open The Portal. Watch the video here.

“Technology has made it really easy to make records much more quickly these days. There’s nothing wrong with that, and that spontaneity can be exciting,” shares FOB’s Patrick Stump. “But we wanted to get back to the way we used to work. We wanted to make a record that was really lovingly crafted and deliberate and patiently guided – like someone cooked you a delicate meal. I’m not a very proud guy, but I’m pretty proud of this record.”

So Much (For) Stardust marks a homecoming for the band on multiple fronts; the first of which found the band reuniting with renowned producer Neal Avron, whom they’ve worked with on three previous albums (From Under the Cork TreeInfinity on HighFolie à Deux). On working with Avron for this record, Stump notes: “Neal not only taught us how to make records, but has a unique capacity to really take time and focus on a record. We thought it was a no-brainer to work with him again, on a record where that was very important to us, and he was gracious enough to agree to work with us.”

Additionally, So Much (For) Stardust will be released on Fueled By Ramen/Elektra – Fall Out Boy’s first album with the label since their 2003 debut album Take This to Your Grave, which celebrates its 20th anniversary on May 6.

“Our band has been an ongoing art project for twenty years and we know there have been many inception points along that journey,” says FOB’s Pete Wentz. “We wanted to create an album that merged those points together – something new, but carved from our foundation. Fueled By Ramen and Elektra seemed like the perfect home for this.”

“We’re incredibly excited to welcome back Fall Out Boy to the Fueled By Ramen family. It’s been twenty years since the release of their debut album on Fueled By Ramen, and it’s a true pleasure to be working together again. Growing up in Chicago, I had the privilege of watching Fall Out Boy play DIY venues around the city, eventually growing into the global superstars we know them as today,” says Johnny Minardi, VP of A&R for Fueled By Ramen/Elektra. “They are a truly special band that has altered the landscape of rock music and who continually evolve with each new release. They have made an incredible album and we can’t wait for the world to hear it.”

Tonight, the band will appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform the broadcast debut of “Love From The Other Side.” Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs on ABC at 11:35/10:35c, and is available next day on Hulu. Pete and Patrick will also appear on The Zane Lowe Show on Apple Music this morning to discuss the new single.

Anticipation for the record started brewing in November, after a mysterious ad appeared in the Chicago Tribune and continued building with multiple teaser sites in December, the latter of which featured a clay animation video titled “A Claymation Fall Out Boy Celebration” on Christmas that included a quick audio preview of “Love From The Other Side” for eagle-eared fans. On January 11, the band officially revealed the single’s release date just days before they took the stage at the 2023 iHeartRadio ALTer EGO on Saturday in Los Angeles, CA.

So Much (For) Stardust is Fall Out Boy’s first new studio album since 2018’s M A  N  I  A, which garnered a GRAMMY nomination for Best Rock Album and marked their third consecutive and fourth overall #1 album.

Most recently, Fall Out Boy embarked on THE HELLA MEGA TOUR in July 2021 alongside Green Day & Weezer, playing live in front of over 1 million fans on a sold-out global stadium tour. The U.S. leg included numerous sold out stadium gigs – including renowned venues like Chicago’s Wrigley Field, Boston’s Fenway Park and Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium. Critical and fan acclaim poured in, with USA Today hailing it “the most stacked line-up of any rock tour in 2021,” Billboard noting that each night was “serving up a buffet of hits in front of one of the largest concert crowds,” and Rolling Stone calling it “wildly entertaining.” The tour was nominated for both Major Tour of the Year and Best Rock Tour at the Pollstar Awards in 2021. The international leg of the tour took place throughout the summer of 2022.

SWEETLEMONDAE BRAND NEW SINGLE ‘HIGHER STATE’ FEAT JAFARIS

SWEETLEMONDAE BRAND NEW SINGLE

HIGHER STATE’ FEAT JAFARIS

Sweetlemondae, the Galway-based MC returns with her brand new single ‘Higher State’ today. LISTEN HERE.. Her Diffusion Lab debut single ‘Never Gonna Be’, launched the virtually unknown artist onto the Irish Music scene in late 2022. Receiving praise from the likes of Nialler9Hot PressGoldenplec and nationwide radio support.

Kicking off the new year with new music and news that she has just earned a coveted place on 2FM’S Rising List for 2023.

Sweetlemondae is excited to start the new year with brand new music and about Higher State she says … Over the years I’ve learned a lot about reaching a ‘Higher State’ from reading self-help books. I’ve always been interested in self-improvement and doing any shadow work in order to get to a better place, whether it be mentally, physically, or emotionally. When I was around 14/15 I feel like I had an enlightening moment where I realised my existence. I didn’t like anything about myself so I decided that I wanted to figure out how I could change that. I did that by opening up my mind to new ways of life.  I love reading self-help books or books on spirituality or natural medicine. I feel like music is my therapy so I always push myself to word anything I feel as best as I possibly can. That’s why lyricism is very important to me because it’s really about me using this outlet to really delve deep into what I want to say at that specific time. I don’t think I have personally reached a ‘higher state’. But I can definitely hear the progression in my storytelling from the music I’ve put out over the years. I think ‘Higher State’ is more of a journey than a destination.

‘Higher State’ also represents how she approaches writing her music ‘ I’ve always enjoyed reading and learning about new things whether their of my own interest or not. With music, I always want to push my limit in terms of the depth of what I’m saying and how it feels to a listener. I can’t share anything beneficial or new if I as an artist don’t expand my mind’.

Sweetlemondae worked with label Diffusion Lab’s maestro producer, Benza on the track, who guided the trippy sonic elements of the track, fitting perfecting with the subject of finding a ‘Higher State’. Fellow label-mate, Jafaris while working in a neighbouring studio dropped in on the session, creative juices flowed and a verse was written that brought the track to a new level.

The 23 year old was born in South Africa, moving to Dublin at the age of 7. Now residing in Galway, having just finished her Law Degree and all while creating new music, is now preparing to sit her Bar Exam. Further proof of her appetite to expand her mind to further Higher States! This is just the first taste of new music to come from Sweetlemondae this year, lots more news to come.

PARAMORE RELEASE NEW TRACK “C’EST COMME ÇA”

PARAMORE RELEASE NEW TRACK “C’EST COMME ÇA”

The Third Track Taken From Their Highly Anticipated Sixth Studio Album THIS IS WHY
Out February 10th On Atlantic Records

I know that regression is rarely rewarded / I still need a certain degree of disorder/ I hate to admit getting better is boring/ But the high cost of chaos?/ Who can afford it?

Today, Paramore’s electrifying return continues with the release of new song “C’est Comme Ça.” This is the third track to be released from their eagerly anticipated new album This is Why – out February 10th via Atlantic Records.

Of the song – whose title translates literally from French as “it’s like that” but is more akin to the English-language expression “that’s just how it is” – singer Hayley Williams says, “I’m trying to get un-addicted to a survival narrative. The idea of imminent doom is less catastrophic to me than not knowing anything about the future or my part in it. The guys and I are all in much more stable places in our lives than ever before. And somehow that is harder for me to adjust to.”

The Grammy-winning trio revealed their new album plans in September with the release of the album’s title track. “This Is Why,” currently climbing streaming and alternative radio charts around the globe – now at #2 at Alternative Radio! – and saw the beloved band make their Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon debut in between a run of intimate theater dates and festival headlines.

Excitement for Paramore’s live shows has never fiercer; they were recently announced to headline the kick-off of the Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest in Glendale, AZ on Feb 9th and will join Taylor Swift on the opening nights of her Eras Tour there on March 17th and 18th. Prior to their tour kickoff, the band will be doing a special, intimate album release show for fans on February 6 at The Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.

Spring 2023 sees Paramore embark on their own global tour in support of This is Why, kicking off in South America in March, followed by a UK / Ireland run in April, and a North American run starting in May. Support comes from Bloc Party, Foals, The Linda Lindas and Genesis Owusu. For the band’s largest headline arena shows in more than a decade they’ll make stops at some of the most iconic venues including two nights at London’s O2 Arena, two nights at New York’s Madison Square Garden, Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, Austin’s Moody Center, two nights at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena and more before wrapping up in St. Paul, MN at Xcel Energy Center on August 2nd. The band are donating a portion of their ticket sales to organizations working in areas of essential community support, including Support & Feed and REVERB.

When Paramore revealed they were recording together in January 2022 the response from music fans around the world was immediate and celebratory. In the time since the Grammy-winning, RIAA-certified multi-Platinum band released their last album, After Laughter – and Hayley Williams unveiled two lauded solo albums – Paramore have become more popular than ever. Over the last few years Paramore’s influence and popularity has snowballed, as the age of streaming organically propelled them into a position as one of the world’s biggest, most culturally compelling rock bands. For the band, who formed as teenagers in Tennessee, their 20 year trajectory has seen them grow from youthful outsiders to bone-fide pop culture icons, permeating the musical landscape by inspiring a new generation of musical talent.

Praise for Paramore:

“One of the most influential bands of their generation” – The Guardian

“another bold yet sonically grounded triumph: while the production recalls the art-rock idiosyncrasies of After Laughter, Hayley Williams sneers, spins and strikes with the tenacity of her Riot! Work.” – Billboard

“Williams sings, with biting mock-sweetness, over a backbeat and a hopping bass line. Choppy, clenched guitar chords goad her as she sneers an irritated response to a sourly divided national mood” – New York Times

“…it’s working as a power trio here: a singer, drummer and guitarist barreling ahead at the most thrilling heights of their musicianship” – NPR

“Fan interaction was an integral part of the concert, and perhaps what makes Paramore shows so special — besides Williams’ never-faltering powerhouse vocals and the band’s tight musicality.” – Variety

“With a packed setlist that spanned 20 years of hit-making, the band celebrated everything they’ve achieved – and proved that the best is yet to come.” – Rolling Stone

“one of the most influential alternative rock bands of their generation” – The Face
